Re: Drop in speed I realize this was posted a while back, but it mirrors my problems with Verizon. Were you ever able to get an absolute fix to the problem? I hate being on the phone with Verizon which is an average of 1 1/2 hours per call only to find out that after they promised to send a technician, they "Ran a line test" and it worked just fine, so they canceled the ticket. My DSL (768) goes off as soon as it gets hot outside. I have had on going problems for three years. I am trying to get another company to service our area with DSL, but for now, Verizon is the only provider. Has anyone found a way to get around their stupid system of calling India or the Philippines and being put through the constant hassle of repeating the same information dozens of times to people who I can not understand only to be told one lie or another. (It's your modem; it is fine; we are working on the issue; we will send a representative out) If anyone knows a way around this, I would love to hear it. Sorry for the similar post, problems with my internet...go figure! |
