SMC7004ABR bricked router recovery?

I have 2 old SMC 7004ABR Routers that I would like to get working.

#1 - SMC7004ABR-CA part 751.0156

It seems someone has changed the IP address and password, I can get it into 'Password Recovery Mode', but I have no firmware file to flash for this particular part, SMC does not have one on their website. I e-mailed them, they said to use the "factory firmware", but I don't have a copy.

So can anyone point me to a firmware file for this (rare) router?

# 2 - SMC7004ABR part 750.5702

Can't get this router to reset at all, tried all 3 methods repeatedly, varying lengths of time pressing reset, nothing. I can connect to it if I set my NIC TCP/IP to DHCP 'obtain IP address automatically', it sets my NIC to something like 169.254.29.116 or 169.254.24.50 etc subnet mask 255.255.0.0 each time.

How to discover the IP address of the router now ?(I tried 169.254.2.1 and various other obvious choices)

Any ideas on how to get it to 'reset' to 'Password Recovery Mode', I have a firmware update from SMC for this one, but I can't get to the PRM screen?

Or any other ideas on possible fixes?
