Hmmm, not getting anywhere. Sent them an email, but haven't got anything back yet. Anyone else figured this out?

In the meantime, I see a few of you are starting to use some speed test located on dslreports.com, though I'm not sure which one you're using.

Well, still hanging in there with the Novatel PC Card. Here's where my speed is today:

Not bad, not great. At least it's in spec (Sprint specs minimum average download of 600k, minimum average upload of 350k).

Yeah, I know that's from several hours ago. I ran the test and then I forgot to post it! Hey, it was 3AM on a Saturday morning, you know??

One peculiar experience: About 12 hours after I connected with the Novatel yesterday, I got a message to update my PRL, which I did. Well, previous to the update my PN was ALWAYS 45, going on for several months, and my average signal strength was -60. After the PRL my PN has kept changing every time I connected, to 513, and so on (it's currently 260), and my signal strength dropped to -90, and has stayed there. And yet oddly enough, as you see, my speed and ping time has remained in spec. Oh, the permutations.

The upload speed problem I reported a few days ago appears to have corrected itself.

Just as a reminder, the reason why Sprint is having me check it out is because I reported repeated connectivity problems, NOT speed problems. The speed has basically been normal since January.

Currently they're testing me with a PC Card, a Novatel, theorizing that there may be a firmware problem between my Franklin U600 USB modem and the 3G network in my area which is unique to the Franklin. I've only been connected for little over an hour, so I'm not in a position yet to judge whether the connectivity problems correct themselves with the Novatel, but I'll post when and if we have the answer to that question. So far, the performance has been normal.

Also it appears there is now an upload speed problem with this connection also. I did a few tests, and all upload results were around .1 to .2. So, a new problem plaguing my 3G connection. Glory hallelujah.

criggs posted : I've had an odd 24 hours. As some of you know, my Sprint 3G connection has been effectively unusable since September 28 (although before that I had 14 months of trouble-free usage :( ). So I started using 4G when it got fired up in my area on November 8th.

Yesterday Sprint told me to please give 3G another try for a week or so. So, for the time being, I'll be posting my speed tests here, not in the Sprint 4G thread. Here's what I'm getting at the moment:

Keep in mind that my current problem, the one for which they sent a technician out to my house, involves repeated drops in connectivity every 30 to 60 minutes, involving either dropping to 1XRTT, or losing all connectivity even though the Smartview still says I'm connected, to the call downright disconnecting. My current problem does NOT involve slow speeds any more, which is why the result I've posted, while not stellar, is in spec.

Please clarify. Do you mean Sprint 3G through Sprint, through Millenicom, or through both? I ask because you have stated that you subscribe to Millenicom, not Sprint.
