The survay is still online. Now with a proper disclaimer.
I'm not sure I believe the firing, since there survay is still there.

Just for the record..when I made my initial post above,
the poll was taken down. As Mele indicated, she then made
a post saying she was putting it back up.
I see no reason to doubt what she's said.

I just tried the link, and it was down.
Looks like she got her job back only by taking down the site.

I just wish that those who be in charge of their respective ISP's would be a little bit more understanding and let their people help out in these forums. It would be a real PR coup for them.

In a way I can understand there stance... even if 499 out of 500 people love what Chelle did..imagine if you will what would happen if 1 rotten apple decided to hold TW liable for something they misconstrued from something posted by a TW employee...

I hate to say it but the lawyers and rotten apple ruin it for the rest of us 499 folk...

That's very true and something people working for these ISP's do need to watch.

The difference with Chelle though was here was her original post regarding the poll.
»How do you rate RR? Cast your vote

In her post, she clearly identified it as an "informal"
little poll.
She also stated she was making it "whilst
she was having insomnia" with nothing better to do.
And, the post was made at 4:23 AM..(1:23 AM California time..if that's where she is).
Unless she was having insomnia at work with nothing else to do and working the midnight shift, I'd say she wasn't on company time at all.

So, to kind of summarize it, while she wasn't even working..she made a poll that she clearly identified as
an "informal" one. She expressed no opinion of her own..
either positive or negative in the poll, nor encouraged anyone in that regard. It was simply
a place where RR customers could express their own opinions..push their own buttons and state how they felt about their service.
And, to top it all off, the overall results of the poll
expressed a high level of satisfaction for the service.

RR had nothing to fire her over.
And, it's probably a good thing they quickly realized that
because she had a case against them IMO.

And that post was her ace in the hole.
