[request] Instead of having a "Too Old To Respond To"

the site just automatically lock such topics? Not that it's a big deal, but why have to load another page just so we can find out the topic is too old to post to. If the topic showed as "locked" it would be evident right away.

I realize there's some sort of a stigma attached to "locked" threads, but there seems to be another very good reason to lock a thread that doesn't involve forbidden topics, and/or inappropriate responses.

What say ye???

No.

If the 2nd post of the thread is too old to reply to doesn't mean the last post is (or OP)

»Official "Invite" thread Part 3 - ALL INVITES GO HERE !

2nd post cannot be replied to. Last post can.

Are you aware that individual posts can be locked without locking the whole thread? This wouldn't change anything other than requiring the loading of an otherwise useless page to tell us it's too old to reply to. I suppose there's a "timer" that does this automatically when a post/thread gets too old. I'm just suggesting that the "locked" designation appear on anything too old to respond to.

Too confusing. People might think the thread is locked and cannot be replied to, which would be a false assumption since only certain posts would be locked.
