 | It's the first week in February, and internet is still slow. I was told that the issues should be fixed (Columbus, Ga) by the first week in February...

We need some relief.....three months and counting with these issues... |
 | Must just be that end of town. Over by the airport the speeds seem pretty good.
 | It's not just weekends now....thi s is a speed test from 3:25pm |

That should fix your issues and is what "is being worked on" for your node issues I would assume.
Our D3 rollout was pushed back about 2 months here. Now speeds are pretty solid. Here is my non-edge in PC:

Mine's been doing that for the last month or so, the modem is wide open for the first couple of seconds then throttled down. I can see it in downloads, too. |
 | It's pretty obvious that my node is overloaded....they're not splitting it or doing anything about it...just hoping Docsis fixes the issues...but, if it was overloaded before, it's only a matter of time before it's overloaded again...or we wont be getting the speeds advertised.....
This is a speedtest Saturday night at 10:07pm....

My freakin' upload speed is higher than my download speed! And my ping is atrocious! I've been having these issues for over three months, and they're obviously not doing shit to fix it...yet I'm still having to pay the internet portion of my bill...
Anyone know a site that reviews how Charter and Mediacom are in a particular area? I've heard their services are bad, but can it get any worse than this????? I find it hard to believe that it could... |

Re: It's the first week in February, and internet is still slow.
Mediacom is decent on the north end of town, I had them about 4 or 5 years ago. The problem I had with them was constant interruption of service. Internet was down at least 4-5 days a month, every month. But I guess that getting decent service for 25 days out of the month is better than crappy service 30 or 31 days a month. |

 | Does anyone know if it's possible to have two cable isp's at once? For example, have Meciacom drop me a line purely for internet, while keeping my knology services? |
DJPremium join:2001-06-13 Columbus, GA | Neither company cares what you have from another provider.... I have Knology for phone/ internet, and I use DirecTV for television. |
 | That's not what I'm asking......is it possible to have another cable internet connection installed, being that you allready have one, and have two different isp's at the same time? |
DJPremium join:2001-06-13 Columbus, GA | reply to bramma_99 Same answer, yes. It requires two separate cable lines, one for each modem.
Just know that Mediacom will tack on a hefty fee for internet-only service. |
 | I thought a house would only have one cable line running into it....thus my question wondering if you could have two isps at once...or does each cable provider have a different cable running to your home? |
DJPremium join:2001-06-13 Columbus, GA | Each ISP has their own cable line to your house. They can't/won't combine signals into one cable. |
 | Got this one right around midnight...hand shot up to over 15mbps for a little while at the beginning....
