When I connect my new Router the Linksys WRT120N it drains the Power from my phone line and will not connect to the internet. It has a splliter at the wall. Goes to my router and my phone. The old router that came with it works fine in there but when I try and plug in the new one the phone gose dead and internet cuts out.
I'm assuming that you're running ADSL. Can you provide more details on the physical setup of your old and new connection. You should have an ADSL modem right? So something like below?
