jr461 join:2006-12-21 Montvale, NJ | MLB Extra Innings Is there any talk of more HD channels for this for the upcomign season? As part time channels perhaps there is more of a chance of adding 1 or 2 more (I know there aren't many maninstream HD channels coming anytime soon). |

Personally, I have decided to go with MLB.TV this year. The PS3 app is very slick and most games are available with home or away feeds and pseudo-HD.

Chris I did that last year only wtih the Roku. It was an awful experience with constant rebuffering to the point it was unwatchable. I will wait and see some feedback on whether there is an improvement this year, or I may go EI. Just wish there was more HD devoted to it, considering each channel is needed only about 3 hours a day. Even if they cram more into one QAM to do it, it will still beat the absolutely crappy, blurry SD picture.
I heard the PS3 handled it well but I don't want to spend $300 on that + $100 on MLB.tv. |

JH28 @bankofamerica.com | They had mlb.tv for free on Fathers Day weekend on the PS3 last year, and it was very nice. Would never consider MLB extra innings over that, even with the additional cost. The HD picture was exceptional. |

 | reply to jr461 MLB.tv is simply not worth the price for what you get; no Saturday eveing or Sunday evening games, and the blackout restrictions are terrible. I live in the DFW area, and when my hometown team (StL) comes to Houston to play the Astros, the game is blacked out here. I've had MLB.TV for two years simply because of the flexibility it allowed me for where I wanted to watch the game, but after my 2-year run, I've concluded that the cons outweigh the pros. |

ChrisUK join:2008-08-28 Falls Church, VA | If a game is blacked out on MLB.TV, it generally means it is available on your local TV. I'm a Braves fan in Washington DC and it is very rare that I don't have access to a game either on MLB.TV or Verizon Fios. The only time it happens is when the Braves are playing in one of the two or three games being carried by Fox on a Saturday afternoon, but not the one being shown on the East coast. That only happens about once or twice a year.

You don't get Saturday evening games with EI either. That's FOX exclusive game of the week time. Sunday night is ESPN exclusive game, so no EI then either. |

bsangs join:2002-08-21 Montclair, NJ | reply to jr461 I'd like to know more about this too. I'm leaning toward MLB.TV currently, because it can be watched on iPad & iPhone too. If I can Airplay it through my AppleTV, it might be a no-brainer. We'll see. |

Does anyone know who will be the replacements for these two? |
