Sox sweep, fight and coast to first place in the AL @ The Break.

Whew!

The first 10 games was a test of your fanhood!

Let's have some fun watching the Derby and then get home field advantage!

Do we get to blame you if they lose?

Typically they lose when I go. I skipped out at the last minute and let my wife bring a friend. The seats were partially obstructed view and that bothers me even if the tickets are free. You have to love Fenway Park and those obstructed views.

Congrats to A Gone (cuz he reads this forum every day without fail) for the Derby and knocking a dinger in the AS game.

I knew he was good when he came to the Sox but he has gone above and beyond as a player. $$$ well spent.

Did ya see Evan Longoria bobble the baseball and let the bases get loaded with no outs at the top of the 9th.
Now Adrian Gonzalez is up.
Darn, he struck out.

I stayed at work for 16 innings?
One other guy watched in the lobby and I had to wake him up to leave.

Watched them beat up on the O's yesterday. Was amazing to see the Sox up close and personal like that. I was maybe five rows behind home plate. Would have been so much better if it wasn't so hot. We were smart this time though, we remembered to use sunblock so no burns today.

Yeah, that's kind of a crappy thing to go to a game and be so close to getting in every shot of the batter and not have a DSLR - NE sign.

Yup, fail. Wife wanted me to bring it but I wanted to enjoy a day without a camera for once. Plus most stadiums now only let you bring in a lens that is two inches or less in length. All my lenses are much longer. lol

with your (presumed) skills, you should've turned the popcorn box into a pinhole cam !!

maybe you might've approached the dugout, simply asked Tito to "stand still" for 10 secs (A physical impossibilty on his part, I bet).
As noted, a "fail" of EPIC proportions.. LOL

Tito gets his 1001 win
Wake gets his 199th win and 2000th K!

Sweep Seattle, 3 up AL East, most runs scored in MLB (541), best road record (31-20).

But! 63 games left.

Edit: some numbers. Forgive me, I get excited...

LOL Now you got me thinking I could have fasioned lenses out of bottles but I don't think they sell bottles... hmmm... I should have polished up a beer can, reflected the suns rays onto a handful of sand and made the lenses that way. Then I could have scraped gum off the seats and stuck the lenses on the popcorn box. Haven't figured out how to create the film yet.

The one night I miss a game:

Grand Slam for Papi
With the slam, Ortiz reached 1,000 RBIs with Boston.
David Ortiz hit his 10th career grand slam and 9th as a Red Sox player. That's tied with Rico Petrocelli for the 2nd-most in Red Sox history. Ted Williams has the most with 17.

7 day work weeks sucked but I never missed a game.

Congratulations Mr. Ortiz, you read this site daily without fail.

Note: my Rico Petrocelli card is worth about a buck.

Buchholz out for 60 days, Bedard? I'll spend some time looking at him tonight but not too sure about him.

Nice short trip to the Whites.

Tribe for 4 @ Fenway, then NYY. Good ball week coming up.
