| More Knoxville BS...brought to you by Knology Picture this.... your service goes down at 12:00... you restart your modem... still nothing.... you call knology and they say there rolling out docsis 3.0 in your area, if you live in the Knoxville area you just shit yourself thinking OMG it's finally here YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA. Modem comes back online at 1:28 AM. You jump with happiness and are so happy you get your GF to watch the first docsis 3.0 speed test with you.... speed test shows the same as before, so hey maybe I need to restart modem. Still the same.... your thinking not again did they really just BS me again (your praying at this point waiting for someone to pick up) then BAM they did the same shit they have before... made a mistake and well still the same old stuff. I truly hate you with all my heart Knology..... please stop shitting on me. |

| on another note if you don't live in this area please don't post anything stupid like "it's coming just wait" I have waited and I am more then willing to. I just don't enjoy being lied to or getting some more BS dates from knology of when it's coming. This company is really bad about oh it's coming out _________ insert bs here. |

I too live in knoxville and had my service go down right around midnight. so i checked the cable modems status page and it said the normal signal values but in the cable modem status field it said "access denied." so i reset everything and the same thing came up. so i was thinking they were doing some type of maintenance. and then about 1:30 it was back up. well sort of. This morning i get up and it is just terrible so i do a speed test and it hits like 7Mbps at first and then just grinds to a slow halt. awesome. It does a strange thing like it will go fast (7-8Mbps) for a few seconds and then just stop. My upload speeds also start at like 2-3Mbps and then hit the floor.

I'm in Fountain City and have been seeing intermittent service for about three weeks. If it's because they are trying to figure out how DOCSIS 3.0 works, that's good news. Maybe it comes with a thick manual and they are working their way through it. |

Have any of you checked your channels? Here in West Knoxville, my downstream link is now bonded across 4 channels. The upstream remains on single-channel DOCSIS 1.1. |

My problem is my internet signal being dropped during the day. It usually only lasts a few minutes but can cause problems as I am a day trader. Need reliable internet connection. Thinking of going back to Comcast. Area is near Westland and Gallaher View in West Knoxville. Any advice? |

Ok guys I think I have the finale date for docsis 3.0 in Knoxville. Mar 22. I would strongly suggest before switching service you wait in-till that date. That date is not bs as long as they are able to keep on track and I know that for a fact. |
