1 edit | [News] Supergran attacks raiders Some may have seen this. She's 71 and legs it towards the robbers, amazing! Aptly named Gold Street is full of surprises, especially late at night. (I used to live in that street.) Bet her kids are well-behaved !

But maybe you missed the video of an American grandmother attacking a gunman at a Florida School Board meeting? -- Regards, Joseph V. Morris |

 | Maybe they could be related?
Could it be a sleeper cell of cloned pensioners who used to be called 'pat', now called 'ex-pat', enhanced to strike anywhere in the world at a moments notice.
Not seen these types of videos before today. I shall look forward to seeing the florida one, I'll shall have a butchers later.
Some of the oldies don't half have balls. |

 | Thanks for link but didnt see lady tackle gunman, but having said that I found this on youtube which shows the actual astonishing incident. I'm amazed nobody else got shot! Saw the lady hit gunman with bag, that took some guts. The 2 guys talking to the gunman were cool under extreme pressure. Warning this video is of the event taking place in real time, uncensored.

Rather than spend me money on a cinema ticket for an action movie here, I just need to go to a pta/governors meeting at one of your schools! (Now where did I put me bullet proof jacket?)
They are a bit tighter on guns over here, in the absence of bullets anything else gets used.
Violence I've encountered seems to be an altercation at work or used to be the football match. I have been on the receiving end of 50p pieces thrown by the visiting crowds (sliced the guy heads open standing in front of me once.)
Shame about that match as there were loads of goals but I was too busy ducking the missiles to watch it properly.
One occasion, at work, I came off shift just as night shift started a riot in the canteen, instead of bullets flying it was chairs and salt cellars (salt cellars get hit by one of them and instant salt in the wound ). Funny the security guard disappeared but the general manager and my team leader showed enthusiasm for it.
Another company I worked for had a riot (before I started, just in case you thought there was a pattern developing here ). This riot was Africans v East Europeans, as they outnumbered the brits on approx 10 to 1 basis, the brits stood back and let them get on with it! |
