MTU Settings?

Well, I was wondering what was going on.. Seems like someone screwed up the MTU settings.

Notice something?

ralph1 etc # ifconfig eth8
eth8 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
inet addr:174.45.xxx.xxx Bcast:255.255.255.255 Mask:255.255.252.0

This is including a fresh reboot of the router. I'm gonna call Bresnan in the morning on what's going on. Until then, I'm manually setting the MTU to 1500.

Interesting...Did the phy link speed and/or duplex change any along with the reduced MTU? Noticed there are 5 errors on the link (tx)...any more since manually changing back to 1500?

Not as much.. and the 'net sped way up after I set it back to 1500.
