Our FBI and Justice Dept. are totally incompetent. Would like to add sourceforge.net as a good sourde for non government infected software

pb5k Can't Triforce Premium join:2005-11-16 Glendale, AZ	Hmm, well, yes and no. IIRC, the only open source software that has its source audited is BSD, and auditing software code isn't trivial. Open source just indicates that someone can inspect and audit the code, not that it is guaranteed backdoor free. Though I agree it is generally a better option than the closed alternatives. Of course even if your software is 100% backdoor free, it means little when your ISP and hardware manufacturers could be collaborating with the FBI. Incompetent FBI + lots of expensive toys and privileges = bad for all americans. Perhaps maybe if the program was obfuscated, but I've never seen that in open source. I'm referring to smaller programs like bit torrent clients and such. For operating systems, its a little bit different.
