There is a lot of discontent with the Obama administration among liberals, if that's what you mean. Check out any left leaning site like reddit and you'll see that.

The mainstream media has been making parallels between Carter and Obama for some time (middle east crisis with weak U.S. response, high oil prices, political backlash domestically, etc).

In any case, none of this absolves Bush. Obama is a prick for continuing this bullshit, and the prior administration shouldn't have started it. Regardless of who's in charge, law enforcement doesn't need any more expensive toys or privileges to "protect" me. All the past terror attempts on airlines were stopped by citizens, not the TSA or FBI.
