Most updated PRL and more...

I have a couple of questions.

First, there are some areas that still have Alltel as an available carrier. Is there anyway for me, who is a grandfathered in Verizon customer, but still uses an Alltel device, to purchase or somehow get a new USB modem through Alltel?

Second, what is the most updated PRL for Alltel devices? I have PRL 40065, but I need to install it manually because my device can no longer wirelessly get PRLs. Corolada doesn't have the most updated PRL.

Thanks.

Maybe try ebay for an UM185al that is the only real, new Alltel modem out there. The current Alltel prl is 40073 last time I looked.

Demy,
If you are a Verizon customer, you can get a modem from Verizon, some are free. Others are available at LetsTalk.com.

What would you do with an Alltel PRL? Why not download the Verizon PRL to your Alltel device? Are you trying to prefer Alltel sites with your Verizon account? If so, then Verizon can download a "hybrid" PRL to your unit.

BillRadio,
Yes, I am trying to prefer the Alltel sites. I've used a Verizon USB760 a while back, and that device just didn't work no matter the PRL. The current device I have now can't accept PRLs and updates for some reason, so asking a tech to send a PRL is useless. Great idea though...
