Westell 6100 Keeps Dropping Connection

So lately my connection has been dropping every minute or so for about 15 seconds. I suspect it's the modem, because it's only started happening a few days ago. Is my modem faulty, or is it my ISP (Verizon/Fairpoint)? We're planning on switch ISPs this month, so buying a replacement modem would be pointless.

There should be a place on the modem where you can check transceiver statistics and examine logs. They might give you an idea as to what is happening.

The most common reason for connection drop with DSL, is a poor noise margin, often due to line problems or house wiring problems.

Is there anything I can do sans buy a new modem? Or should I tough it out until we switch to Time Warner (Hopefully in the next two weeks if they can install quickly)?

There's no guarantee that a new modem would solve the problem.

Yes, just "tough it out" until you complete the switch to a different ISP.
