[Speed] Speed testing

I am wondering why the mobile speed test result I get @ »i.dslr.net/iphone_speedtest.html is so much lower than what I get from from the speedtest.net iPhone app. The best I have ever attained from the browser test is 5.4 Mbps downstream on Wi-Fi. That happened today on my iPhone 4. When I did the test on the speedtest.net app, the downstream result was 15.4 Mbps.

I've always gotten slower results using the speedtest.net app on my iPod Touch via WiFi than I have on my desktop via Ethernet. I just don't think WiFi handles the higher-tier speeds that well compared to a hardwired connection.

I am not talking about the comparison between Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Both the tests I referenced were performed on the iPhone 4 over Wi-Fi. I can't understand a 10 Mbps discrepancy between the two tests
