Worst Customer Service - Stay Away From Speakwasy

I signed up for service back in October 2010. My install experience was a nightmare. Contract clearly stated that I would be chaged $780.45 a month + a one time fee of $217.65.

I have received 3 bills so far and they all have been for $1100+ each month. I have emailed and called my account executive for the last 2 executive (Scott Kosanke) and I have yet to hear back from him.

No one in their customer service department can clearly answer any of my questions nor have I received a follow up call from any of their managers as they have promised me.

At all costs please stay away from Speakeasy/Megapath. I never thought I would say this, but I wish I had stayed with ATT.

Chatterly has run what was a superior, customer-focused ISP that set the bar for customer service into the ground. How/why he has stayed in charge through the disastrous last few years I do not know.

Call your lawyer. That contract is a legal binding document.

Had the same problem was contract stated $900.50 a month for 3xT1 and was charged $2100.75 a month

I ended up canceleing due to a breech of contract, they tried to make me pay an etf however after having my lawyer contact them saying that they was in breech of contract they allowed me to terminate my services at no cost.

After the initial install and services was verified online and working the account exec was nerver heard from again.

Cancel service now -- and don't let them bill you after your service is cancelled. I cancelled service in Feb and I'm still getting bills. This has to stop. Class action, anyone?

Dan,

Thanks for making the effort but I fear you're fighting a losing battle. The "old" Speakeasy customer support was legendary and there's probably no way Megapath is going to recapture it. Although it's not all Megapath's fault. Bruce Chatterly pretty much flew the Speakeasy plane into the side of the mountain all by himself.

Dan,

I have tired contacting customer service several times and my problems have yet to be resolved. I never received the credits I was promised. I still continue to have problems with my call quality even though I have a bonded T1 (3Mbps).

I even called to order two additional lines back in April. I signed the contract and sent it on on April 27th. I have yet to receive the new phones and have the lines activated.

I have no idea whats going on at Speakeasy/MegaPath. Rest assured I will be leaving Speakeasy/MegaPath as soon as I find another provider who will provide me with REAL customer service and honor the terms of their contracts with their customers.
