Re: Satellite internet without a long contract?
Well you used to be able to get HN without a contract but I dunno if they will still accept new customers on the old KU systems. The way it worked was you but the dish and modem somewhere like ebay AFTER you confirm it doesn't have a bill owed on it and then set it up yourself and call a subprovider (which someone will have to name because for the life of me I can't remember) and they would set your service up. That is how RV'ers get and keep service but with the new 9000 KA systems it is next to if not entirely impossible to set the dish up yourself without aiming equipment so I don't know how you could get away with that unless you have a good friend who is an installer.
