I'm in WV and just found that I've got that, too.

"Typical monthly usage for customers in your package: Up to 78.0 GB"

They can't honestly believe that nonsense, can they? No one with an ounce of sense would pay for a 20/3 connection and only use 78 GB in a month. Let's hope they're just making cute suggestions, not easing us into a cap, because that just won't fly.

It's funny, how all they talk about is downloading...

I wonder why they lump it all together in 1 meter.

43 gigabytes / 10 Mbps = 9.78488889 hours
9.78488889 / 720 = 0.0135901235

So... I'm paying for 1.3% of the theoretical maximum bandwidth usage. If Suddenlink's going to be ridiculous, I will be too.

Oh, goody! I got my first "You're actually using your connection, and we really wish you wouldn't" message!

Check out the awesome Hints & Tips, too!

I'll make them a deal - When they can remember to use proper punctuation in official correspondence, I'll pretend to care how much bandwidth I use. What I have decided based on all this is that I'll never, ever waste my money on the 107/5 package. What's the point in having that much speed available if I'm going to get crapped on for using it?

43GB just better not be the cap if they do implement one. It's way too low. I got 10Mbps because of price/value and not because I use less than 43GB. While 20Mbps is 2x faster and 107Mbps 10.7x faster the time saved on large downloads is not worth it, I don't get paid to complete downloads faster.

If I downloaded at 1.25MB/s 24/7 for 30 days straight (1.25 * 2592000 seconds) I could grab 3.164TB, but ain't anyone doing that here, I could do with 10% of that.

I got a different nasty gram "well above the typical monthly usage of up to 43.0 GB." Can they not make up their minds?

'Im in WV and we will contact the state Attorney General about false and deceptive advertising. They promised UNLIMITED INTERNET in their commercials when we signed up

The typical monthly usage estimate appears to be based on which package you're subscribed to. 43 for the 10/1, 78 for the 20/3, no idea otherwise.

Just got this awesome feature and they state that 43GB is the normal usage for a 6/256 connection.

I have of course have used 130GB.

I think I am going to go home and clear out my Steam apps folder and re-download everything on my desk top then do the same to my laptop. While watching YouTube and having 4 Xbox 360s streaming NetFlix while downloading a few torrents and pulling data from an FTP server at work.

Oh I'm going to make them love me.

Go for it, you're not going to accomplish anything.

Last month the usage meter said I used 600GB and my net monitor said I used 1.2TB. Not sure which is incorrect.
