best software to use for TVoIP

What is the best software to use for TVoIP on a linux pc. I'm looking to cut the satellite tv cord, so the ideal program would allow to download content from various places like netflix, nbc.com etc.. and work as a pvr for those stations that allow it.

I've installed a couple of programs like miro, but the ones I've tried all seem to be p2p apps. I'm not looking for a file sharing application. Hopefully, a flexible easy to install and configure htpc/pvr.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks lilhurricane. TVUnetwork has a lot of the functionality I am looking for. It's a good start which I hadn't found yet.

Update: It currently only runs on windows and mac.

Call to arms to other linux users. Go to »pages.tvunetworks.com/ and get on their waiting list. The more requests, the sooner they will make it available for us.

•On many platforms (including Windows, Mac OS and Linux) TV streams can be played using VLC or MPlayer.

Not workable?

May want to see our ATU section
