Re: Upstream WOW

And many users have a FTTH solution direct to them for under $40 a month with speeds north of that.

Name and address?
OK I found it for you; I think I covered this a few years ago and you apparently were not listening; it cost over $100.00 a month.

Actually, is getting cheaper. If you do not mind a 2 year contract you can have this »asahi-net.jp/en/service/hikarione/home.html for $65. Of course nothing near to 1 Gbps.. maybe 500~600 Mbps (this a speed test results page »netspeed.studio-radish.com/cgi-b···netspeed, the ones with "ppp-bb.dion.ne.jp" are Au Hikari).

At one tome AT&T owned The Phone Company in Japan; it appears AT&T's way of billing is still in use.

BTW many of the 100 Mbs speeds we hear about in Japan is the total speed to a multiple unite dwelling where it is then shared by all the units.
That exact website from NTT shows 200 down 100 up for $70 a month to a "single family residence."

Guess you read it different....

What ISP did you chose? If it was BB excite they charge extra for email and such.

My head hurts from researching and getting the truth. I guess it would be easier to just drink the Kool-Aid.
