[360] Xbox 360 hosting problem

I have the Comcast extreme 50 internet and on speedtest.net it clocks in at about 63 megs down and 17 up. However whenever I host in an xbox 360 game everyone always complains about lag. Even when I direct connect without a router people still complain about lag which puzzles me because my internet speed is supposed to be blazing fast. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Bandwidth and lag are two completely separate things. Try pingtest.net for starters and post the results.

that result was after directly connecting to the modem, strange that the ping jumped tho

the jump in ping time is normal. from 4pm-12:30ish am ping times go way up.
network congestion at peak times makes hosting a nightmare for me (cablevision)
i only play online in the middle of the night or during business hours now.
