Southern California → Best modem for Time Warner RoadRunner in LA?

Scientific Atlanta DPC2100 or Motorola SB5100 ?

I have an Ambit which drops my connection 5 times a day. Especially when torrenting/skyping/streaming.

What's the best modem to ask for when I go to replace it?

I had an Ambit that went bad. Dropped connections, packet loss, the whole nine.

It got replaced with a Cisco SPC2100R2 (Cisco bought SA) and its been fine since.

motorola, hands down. just remember that if you purchase one ($40 on ebay? less?) you'll be out the cash if you want to eventually get a land line through TW (much cheaper than most other landline options).
