So I recently acquired a particular piece of equipment, a 3Com Tipping Point 1200E. The issue is, it was previously configured, and I have no idea how to access it to change the management IP, since it cannot be done through the front panel. Any suggestions on how to configure this device?

Maybe those will be of some use, probably need to use wireshark to discover what address it is using.

The first link I've seen, it's the SMS client I've had trouble locating on the device cause of the IP issue. The second link I have not seen yet, and provides good overview info. I was afraid I'd have to Wireshark it, although to change it, I guess that means I'd have to either change the PC IP or console in.

Probably at least have to go the console route for password recovery.
