Re: Route distribution for dual WAN

If there is anyone who knows about BGP here, nosx is the one to ask. I deal more with switching nowadays than routing, and since we don't do transport, precious little do I do with BGP.

(LAN) Switching is fine, although dealing and troubleshooting Spanning Tree issue could cause headaches. With routing, the worst you can have is a routing loop or lost (blackholed) routing. With switching, the network shuts down when there is a Layer-2 loop

Tell me about it, Span Tree can be a pain to troubleshoot...and combine that with my predecessor who believed that a 3750 is a 48 port router...its taken a loooong time to finally sort things out.

Sorry for the thread-jack.
