We survived

After this winter, we have had some good warm days. Finally, snow has melted enough to see the ground where I planted daffodils. Today, was the first time I was able to see the little 1/2 inch high growth.
Even if we should get another snow storm, we survived what has been a rather "eventful" winter.

I even started my convertible. Just to run it and give a "systems check." Yea, I suspect I have awhile to go before I can cruise with the top down, but hey....

My lawn will need a little work. I have one area full of "rodent borrowing" to fix. And a lot of twigs, and leaves to rake up. I probably lost most of my newly planted shrubs I planted in the front of my house. They didn't like the weight of snow from the roof shoveling. Branches are broken and they are pretty much flattened.

68 degrees, sun is out. Absolutely gorgeous. A bit windy, but my doors are open. Heat is off, and loving it. Wearing shorts and I see my first "house fly" buzzing in the window.

Rode to the Fahm today. First lamb of the season; I stopped by on Tuesday and there were none. I guess the sheep were busy over the winter.

My sister and husband have a used car and service dealership.
They are being swamped by service for problems related to potholes. I don't know about anyone else, but they are horrible here this year.

I want to take some pictures of the moon tonight. But all I have is a POS point and shoot camera. Good for a lot, but not the moon.

Spring hasn't hit out here yet. We are getting tons of rain storms. Already had 16 days of rain this month and more to come. Your snow season is our rain season and this year it's bad.

We are getting hammered with snow. And very little plowing is going on. The streets are a mess.
Fire traffic on the scanner is heavy with numerous accidents with injuries.

2-3 inches of snow today for the NE area with another round tomorrow scheduled. Hopefully this is the last volley of snow until Christmas.

It's already come and gone for me in MA here. The backyard was a swamp for like 2 weeks but now it's back to normal. We let the dog out last week when it was 55-60 and no mud on his feet.

Dodged this bullet

Looks like we lucked out! The forecast changed from a snow storm to rain!

Friday: Rain. High near 37. Windy, with a east wind around 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Re: We survived

They are saying 1-2" for northern MA for me. I re-arranged the garage Monday this week. The snow stuff is put away and the lawn equipment has taken the snow equipments space. Today is the oil changes, spark plugs, air filters, tune ups, etc. on the lawn equipment. I wonder how well the lawn mower works on 2 inches of snow. Muahahhaha!

Feeling a little optimistic.
I put up my flag.
I removed the driveway markers.
I swept off the porch. (needs a paint job, badly!)

Not ready to drag out furniture or plug in the outdoor speakers, yet. That is my official declaration of Spring, and everything it brings for outdoor work. And fun.

Lol! I see why this thread was recently resurrected. I just watched the weather report for my area of NH, and now they're talking something like 12 to 18" of snow here! Are you kidding me???
This is unbelievable. I'm assuming (that is, hoping), it's some sort of sick April fools joke. (In any case, I'm apparently the April fool for living here.).

Good luck, folks. See ya in the warm spring weather, if it ever comes, that is.
