[WA] Moving to Bremerton, Recommend an ISP?

Hey all, I'm moving to Bremerton, WA (98310) in May and I was trying to find ISPs there, and I cant find much. So far all I've found is:

Wave (not as fast as I'd like, mixed reviews on this one...)
Comcast (Seems to be the fastest, with 50/10, but all I've heard about Comcast is bad, worse and horrible)
Qwest (1.5M DSL)
Speakeasy (T1 - up to 6M - way too expensive, ADSL up to 1.5M - paying way too much for way too little)
Clear 4G (lol no, no oversold wimax plz kthxbai)
And every satelite internet provider (lol no, I'd have better luck with my 3G on my phone).

Right now, I'm with CenturyLink (out in the boonies, getting 10M/.750k). I checked their coverage, and they say they dont have coverage there, which is wierd, cause I saw a good review of them up here for a user in Bremerton.

So does anyone have any suggestions as to an ISP for Bremerton? I'll be living in an apartment, so keep that in mind if the ISP requires any special setup.

Thanks guys,

In general, in WA, your choices are:
a) phone company
b) cable company
c) Covad resellers
d) wireless providers
e) phone company resellers

Most people have a) or b)

Thats pretty much saying what I listed. Thanks for the non-specific answer.

How reliable are they? All I've heard about Comcast is everything bad (throttling, caps, billing screwups, etc)... Granted I have seen some good reviews on here from users in the surrounding area, but still...

How does Wave compare to Comcast in terms of reliability, service and customer service? (And am I correct to assume that Wave is a branch off company from Charter?)

Comcast has been for me outstanding in all respects.
I guess you could call it boring, because you don't ever have to do anything with it.It just works.
I don't have any knowledge of Wave,sorry!

you generally WILL NOT have a choice between wave or comcast

also you will not have a choice between phone/DSL providers

the only exception to this is a reseller of those respective incumbents.

if you know where exactly (or more specific as to where within the 98310 area i could probably tell you what your options are).

i am not sure about the cable, but i believe that all of that area is quest (or whoever resells quest).

In Bremerton, you're going to have an option for Qwest DSL or Comcast.

That's it.

Qwest or Comcast? Good choices IMO.

I have had an awful experience with CenturyLink for the last year, after 8 good years of service with them. Seems that they have oversold the network, and have no idea how to fix the problem, except to keep adding more customers. I have a friend on WAVE who swears at them regularly.

I would happily change to Comcast if given the opportunity. Here's my current throughput with CenturyLink:

I have had QWest in Bremerton for years, then about a year and a half ago decided to try Comcast for a cheaper rate. That is exactly what I got to, Cheaper product! Was with Comcast only a month and it was nothing but problem after problem. Switched back to QWest as fast as I could and no problems since. I have been a QWest customer since I moved up here in 2001 (except for that month) and the only issue for me is price. If you can get a deal through them you will be fine.

Then you must be "thrilled" with the fact that CenturyLink bought Qwest...
