[Cooling] H70 soon to be installed

Click for full size
so I've recived the 2 120mm fans I orderd
thermaltake AF0026 to put on my H70

to compair the differance is air pressure that the AF0026's give off can move an empty soda can, the fans the came with the H70 can't

theres obviously an airflow drop when bolted to the radiator but the af0026 can still move the soda can

I still yet to replace my H70 (and case) fans.
How's the noise level of the Thermaltake as compared to the Corsair OEM?

I haven't installed it yet but compairing the sound when they were sitting on my desk the thermaltake are louder but they do come with a small controller so you could turn them down a little (I won't)

its not very loud but I'd say theres more of a humming sound and you hear almost nothing with the corsair

I've now replaced my old thermaltake icage fans with the same model (3 120's on the front of the case) and I can hear them but it kinda blends in with my router sound so I don't mind

I think I'll install the H70 this weekend (just holding off due to all the trouble I'll have to go through to remove the mobo to install the H70)

well the h70 is in and it cooling much better than the stock cooler
now to wait on the thermal compount to cure and see the temps then

at full load running ycruncher it didn't go over 50c where as the stock cooler was getting much hotter and thats before the arctic silver 5 has had a chance to set in

DarkLogix,

Hopefully your AS5 has cured, what kinds of temps are you seeing these days?

Thanks

idle has been about 34-35c full load (ycruncher doing 4billion places all in ram) hits it to about the low 50's

I'll run it again to verify
though I had to replace the on eI had due to the pump acting up and not cooling but the replacement has been great

also as I noticed one of the other temps that the hardware monitor was showing had risen I've added a HyperX ram cooler because the ram doesn't have the air coming off the cpu anymore

and this is on what kind of CPU?

I've got an i7 920 and I see the same kinds of temps using a thermalright 120UE with a panaflo 120 x 38mm fan..

If your router is making noise, then you have a serious electrical problem.

the last 4g run of ycruncher peaked at 54 but that was for les than a sec here and there and was at 48c most of the time for the 40min run of ycruncher
