hi!! the other day i came across this interesting problem(atleast datis wat i thght!!) setup: D-Link DSL-G624T router and 2 computers on LAN 1 desktop wired into the router + 1 laptop wireless internet and everything is fine on both the computers now there is WEP type of wireless security -with this WEP enabled the 2 computers can't talk with each other, he is not able to view the file structure frm 1 comp to another -but when the WEP is disabled hecan carry out file sharing and also when the 2 cmoputers are wired he can carry out sharing
Is there a chance that when the WEP is enabled, the wireless laptop isn't connecting to the D-Link?
I'm guessing that maybe the wireless laptop isn't properly configured to connect to the WEP'd D-Link (i.e. wrong password?) and is instead connecting to another network (like a neighbor's router)?
If this happened, then the desktop and the wireless laptop would be on two different networks...

Otherwise, perhaps updating the firmware on the router from the D-Link website may be in order? Ideally, you could change the encryption to WPA2-PSK AES in the router instead of using WEP?
reply to 32883834 freeze has a great point, but if you are confident your connecting to your DLink using WEP, perhaps when WEP is enabled, another option also gets enabled that would cause this...
Look to disable "PSPF" (Public Secure Packet Forwarding) or "AP Isolation"
