Re: March Sprint 3G Speeds

I discovered that my ping jumps were caused by my computer's programs accessing the internet and using the connection. Once I stop the programs then my ping goes back down to 88ms. Just thought I would share this for anyone using ICS. I remember when I was using ICS and programs would always screw with my connection.

To get a more accurate ping test, I go into the MBR-1000's interface and go to Tools/System Check and ping the IP-address of my Home Agent which is Chicago, IL. And here are the results.

User stopped
Pings sent: 27
Pings received: 27
Pings lost: 0 (0% loss)
Shortest ping time (in milliseconds): 61
Longest ping time (in milliseconds): 364
Average ping time (in milliseconds): 95

As you can see where the pings started to stable, there was a hop of 177ms, which was probably caused by a program running in the background that used my connection for a brief second. But overall my latency is very good for evdo.
