Hook up the VOIP device with wifi router and modem

Hi,

I three devices- a broadband modem, a wireless router and a voip telephone adapter. I have setup the connections as:

modem to wireless router WAN. wireless router LAN to telephone adapter WAN. [see attached pics of the setup] This setup does not always work. Left for 2 or 3 hours, the VOIP device fails i.e., I do not get the dial tone. I just hear a blank. Why does this happen? Is anything wrong with my connections?

Pics attached for better understanding.

For diagnostic purposes, remove the WiFi router and go directly to the VoIp device.. If it works then, either the router is defective or configured incorrectly.

yes, a direct connection (i.e., without wifi router) works. Is there a guide out for properly configuring the wifi router in this kind of a setup? I don't know how to configure the wifi router in this situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to post the make / model of each device....

This drove me crazy until I figured out the IP address of each box and made sure I had the proper port forwarding established.

BUT, that was for another VoIP service. I don't recall needing to set up port forwarding for my Callcentric environment.

Have you contacted Callcentric's tech support directly?
