| found a beaver dam I just found a beaver dam pretty much in the middle of Mill Creek! I was just wondering in a park off the paved trail, and there it was. I was roughly in the same place a few years ago (the other side of the creek, though) and I don't remember noticing it back then, though it's possible that I just didn't recognize the telltale signs. (by happenstance, I just saw "Beavers: IMAX" on Netflix last week)
Most of the photos didn't turn out to be very good, but if it stops raining ( yeah, right ) I'll go back with a tripod to take another look. -- Palin 2012! |

| reply to aurgathor Martinez, which is part of the Bay Area down here, has had a family of beavers living downtown in the Alhambra Creek since around 2006.

Their dam and lodge was washed away on the 24th of this month during one of the major storms we've been getting here all month. But one of the kits was spotted yesterday trying bring a little tree unsnagged up stream from their home.

 | reply to tshirt It's just off Bothell-Everett Hwy in the nature preserve between Mill Creek Road and Mill Creek Blvd. Not sure if it's related to those 7 unlucky beavers. -- Palin 2012! |

tshirtPremium,MVM join:2004-07-11 Snohomish, WA kudos:3 | reply to aurgathor surely a different group, beavers rarely travel more than a few blocks. There are plenty of them around here, you just don't see them unless they are roadkill. |

| reply to sashwa No beaver in sight, but according to wiki they're mostly nocturnal creatures, so I'd need to go there after dark. And that need to wait a little, not that I afraid of the dark, but currently it's cold and wet. -- Palin 2012! |
