Significant improvements have occurred with my latencies... I will continue to update my review as time goes on. Used to have a single hop that added >100ms which is no longer the case. I've got the 18/1 but highest download I've seen during non-peak is 5 Mbit.
New modem (SB6120) and router (DGL-4500), several months later... connection is much better. I just hit 12.27 Mbps download around 4:20 PST. I think my old router was having issues with the higher speeds available now.
Curious - did you buy the 6120 or did OOL provide it? I read one review on Amazon where Bresnan would not authorize a 6120 to be used because it wasn't 'compatible' with DOCSIS 2.0, this while I was happily using mine on their DOCSIS 1.1 network
I bought it and called them to give them the MAC address... the guy kept asking for a second MAC, which I thought was a bit odd, but eventually he made it work with just what I gave him.
