yeah. They looked awesome until it looked scary. I'm kinda wondering why the wizard of Oz threw in the second string so quick. However, Milledge looks as good as he did in spring training. Maybe hes the Cinderella story to be

I assume he did it because it was cold out there and the game had already gone 2 1/2 hours. If it were me, I would have been thinking it sucks to come in as a second stringer, looking for snow flakes..lol

but I like the trend! Dunn and Quentin on pace for 162 home runs and Quentin on pace for 810 RBI, assuming 162 games played. I predict if they both do this, we will win the world series..lol

anyhow, 1-0 to start the 2011 season, I'm happy!

Go Sox!

Another nice win today. First time since 05 they have gone 2 - 0 out of the gate. Doesn't really mean anything - or does it?

you know...batting looks impressive. However, Cleveland looks a hell of alot better at batting than I thought they would too!

I pick them for 4th but way ahead of KC. That said, KC will be good in a couple of years - they have been developing great stuff down on the farm.

Off to the game with down jacket, scarf, and gloves. Go Bears!

Sitting in 136 row 3, one row above Daley's seats. Doubt he'll be there though.

Stay warm...I'll be watching from the comfort of a yet to be determined Western Avenue establishment. Bring a banner that says DSLR supports the Sox!

GDAMN bad errors, WTF. Simple plays and they should have won against the lowly Rays.

Sucky game - at least the 9th. Great seats.

I'm worried about Thornton's ability to close - it's a mental thing or so it seems. I would try Santos if Matt doesn't settle down.

They were talking on 670 of his lack of pitches, that he has only a fast ball and after 4 pitches how the batters are ready for it.

You know how it is - he deserved the shot but they con't go on losing games the should have won. Not that the fielders helped exactly - 2 errors - bad ones too.

he did deserve a shot....but wtf! It wasn't all Thorton either...that little squib Pierre should have had....but geez. I'll just write it off, but now people will be analyzing for trends. That was bad.

Alexi's error was as bad as Pierre's. Lots of sloppy play so far but it's very, very early.

Didn't they have 5 errors in one game in the spring?

I watched Whitney Young vs. Schurz today - a double header (my kid pitched a 2 hit shutout for Young) and there weren't any errors as bad as those two.

That said, the Sox are actually a pretty good defensive team. It's really early. The Red Sox, supposedly the best team in baseball are 1 - 7 right now.

Good for your son. Whitneys a beautiful school.
As far as the Sox go...Tuesday night's lineup vs. the A's and All-Star Trevor Cahill: Juan Pierre LF, Omar Vizquel 2B, Dunn DH, Paul Konerko 1B, Carlos Quentin RF, Alex Rios CF, A.J. Pierzynski C, Alexei Ramirez SS, Mark Teahen 3B. Edwin Jackson will pitch.

The Sox announced before the game that outfielder Lastings Milledge cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to AAA Charlotte.

So Beckhams sitting...and what to do about Thorton and Pierre?
