I've had to ditch Sprint Mobile Broadband because they have blown my expectations for the past year. I'm now with AT&T 3G with a Velocity card plugged into my Cradlepoint MBR1000 router. Sprint never gave me this kind of service.. |

Well the bad news is, I don't know what has been going on with my connection lately, my ping which used to be a steady 88ms is now bouncing around everywhere and the best I can get now is 105ms, but I usually get 120-170ms now. The weird thing is my tower went town again today, and now my upload speed is back to normal. I guess they did some change to he tower/routing or something.
The good news is that a cable company called me, and asked me about bringing cable service in my valley, and they are paying me $45 to come to a meeting. I wonder where this will go? |

You tell me what's going on with my speed, because these tests confuse me. Looks like I am getting the maximum speed from my tower, or it's upgraded, but I really don't think so. |

Looks like 120ms is my new stable number. |

| Alright I think Sprint might be messing with me. Twice today right after doing speedtests, my connection would die, and I would go into the MBR-1000's interface and my signal would 0%, -117-130dbm, EC/IO 19. Then I would shut my MBR-1000 off for about 10 minutes, then I would be able to connect again and have full signal. This happened twice, and it seems that the tower is someone how shutting off to disconnect me or something, and I have only used 1.5GB's in two weeks, so I don't believe I am using a ton of bandwidth for them to be doing this. What are your thoughts, is it Tower, Router, Modem? |

You're not getting maximum speed as that's rare but yours is good. Max theoretical would be around 3.1 but the carrier reserves some so from what I've seen max user is about 2.5. Another thing unless you are gaming don't put so much interest in ping. It doesn't effect speed. |

| reply to Dexter1992 I put our MBR-1000 in file 13 and went and got a AirLink101-AR660W3G... It does not have All the Bells and Whistles of the Cradlepoint, but since it has been connected about five days ago... my speeds and connection has not failed. We went thru two cradle point routers in about 18 months... the AirLink is a "set and forget about" type of router.. I wish it had the detail that the mbr had, but it getting the job done right now... |

Worst speed I have ever had, my signal is getting worse, ec/io is shooting up in to the 10 range. Looks like my evdo connection is shot, I might be giving Sprint a call. |
|
 | My speeds are back to normal now. I think my tower is on its last leg considering how bad it is getting in performance. I hope Sprint takes a look at it. |

Your average upload speed shouldn't be any slower than .35 Mb/s according to Sprint. You might want to give them a buzz. |
