After much searching, I can only see the international Verizon map no matter what link is followed. Maybe until very recently, Verizon leased their backbone connections within the US from other providers.

I was looking for VZ network map and couldn't find it. I did find this though, which shows a few dozen backbone maps. KC has a bunch of segments coming in from well more than half of them, geez. Couldn't find VZ map though. Wonder if all those trunks had anything to do with Google decision.

That's nice timing to tie into Google's 1Gb net (Gnet?) in KC. Only one segment though. Would hope they add a KC-Chicago link in next rollout.

Gets one to wondering if maybe Verizon was tipped off ahead of time to Google's Kansas City decision.
