Yeah, saw that. It's the international map, not the US map.

After much searching, I can only see the international Verizon map no matter what link is followed. Maybe until very recently, Verizon leased their backbone connections within the US from other providers.

The backbone map is a bit of a mess as they're still working to merge AS701 (Legacy MCI/UUNet) and AS702 (Legacy Verizon).
