| Japan tsunami dog rescued after three weeks at sea Coastguards in Japan have rescued a dog from the top of a house washed out to sea by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit the country's north-east coast three weeks ago.
More than 100 Japanese and US military planes and 65 ships are scouring the coast to locate missing quake victims.
More than 11,500 people are confirmed dead but nearly 16,500 remain unaccounted for.
