I just had my cable modem service turned up on Monday, and instead of seeing my d/l speed increase to 15Mbps from 7.5Mbps with Shaw, it's plunged to ~1Mbps.

/im/96 ··· %3E%3C/aAfter being on the phone with Tech support since Monday, I'm told on Friday morning, "Rocky is looking into upgrading to a GigE card from a 100Mbps card for the 170 customers in Vancouver. We didn't expect it to fill that quickly. That should support 3000 customers and fix this."
The problematic math of that statement aside, is this the case, and if so, when is this upgrade going to be complete?
