1 edit | [complaint] Quick replies wiped out from... block quotes, what? All too often I find myself typing up a qreply to someone, sometimes half hour to an hour long posts of typing, and when I click post the fucking post is lost due to some error about block quotes that's deleted.
This seems to be a new issue since the site design.
Is there no way to either:
a) have the post continue to exist when I click qreply to fix my issue?
b) have it post excluding whatever it didn't like and I can fix it by editing it?
c) have it transition to a full reply page?
Any of those would be great, I'd like to smash a fucking table right now after the last post I lost. Foolish, I suppose, to use the qreply as opposed to reply but intuitively a person would not expect his entire post to be wiped out because of... something. |

| Re: [complaint] Quick replies wiped out from... block quotes, wh Your mistake.
Use "Reply", not "Quick Reply" for anything that will take half an hour of typing. Keep "Quick Reply" for short snappy responses. -- AT&T Uverse; Zyxel NBG334W router (behind the 2wire gateway); openSuSE 11.4; firefox 4.0 |

 | Well, now that I know this secret knowledge required to using this site, I'll be better off... but my post was more so a suggestion for site improvement for others, perhaps new users, or myself when I forget. |

IDK why it had to be changed. |

| reply to urbanriot Since most wouldn't count their words to actually know how "quick" of a reply they have ... to just get a message stating "this can't be posted, the reply is too long" but allow you to copy the reply made before you go back would be nice and less frustrating. As it is, I just don't use qreply at all. |
