| [Wireless] WHR-HP-G54 New routers won't work in Tomato client mo I have three Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 routers I reflashed with Tomato to use in client mode.
The first router is about 3 years old, I used Tomato v. 1.19 and it worked with no problem.
The other two routers are new, and I reflashed them with v, 1.28, and they work fine in AP mode, but will not operate as clients (my browser says I have a connection problem and indeed I cannot connect to the 'Net). I "downgraded" one of the new routers to Tomato 1.19 and tried again, but the same problem still persists.
I did a hard reset and flushed the memory of each router before making the switch to client setting, but to no avail. Nothing seems to work, and this is completely different than my experience with the first router, which went so smoothly. To test, I made sure the settings are identical to the first router, which continues to work fine.
Please...does anyone have a suggestion for getting the newer routers to work in client mode or know if there has been some hardware change in the WHR-HP-G54 that now prevents it from working in client mode?
