 | yes that is identical to the one i have. only difference is my has the verizon logo branded on the top of it |

Ok using the computer that's connected to the 7501
Click the advanced icon...............Click yes at the do you want to proceed prompt
On the advanced page click the Private LAN link
On the Private LAN page Remove the check mark next to Private LAN DHCP Server Enable The page will refresh/reload
Change the Modem IP Address to 192.168.200.200 Click the apply button wait one minute then turn the 7500 off
Connect the 7500 E2 port the 6100 lan port turn the 7500 on Connect a computer to the 7500 E3 port
Check that you can access the internet |

So the 7501 has a ethernet wan port? |

 | yes the 7501 has a wan port. i made the changes setting up the network with the router and modem as instructed and its in the process of restarting itself right now |

 | yes the 6100 computer has access even though its older then dirt... this is my other computer thats running off a neighbor's bootlegged signal.. i have access to keep talking... and just to make sure we're on same page. i am trying to run a westell 6100 dsl modem through a westell 7501 router to link my second computer to the internet. the 7501 has the E1-E4 ports on it a wan port and a female usb port on the back of the router |
