AT&T and T-mobile use different 3g frequencies. But that won't be a problem in a year.
CDMA and GSM can't roam on each others networks. |

LTE on 700 (Verizon) LTE on 800 (???? probably nobody, but its on the Nokia N8) LTE on 1700 (AWS) (MetroPCC and Tmobile/ATT) LTE on 1900 (PCS) (MetroPCS) LTE on 2100 (Lightsquared Sat spectrum) Not on Nokia N8 LTE on 2600 (EBS/BRS) (CLEAR) Not on Nokia N8 |

 | The main LTE freq. right now is 700Mhz, Verizon is using only 700mhz right now, and when AT&T launches LTE (2011???) they will begin with 700mhz as well. Then Verizon and AT&T will both use their AWS spectrum eventually to supplement SMH for capacity reasons. -- 2010 Ford Fusion Sport |

LTE on 1900 (PCS) (MetroPCS)
Eventually both the 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands will be LTE. As 4G replaces 3G for data and as CDMA carriers move voice to 1X Advanced (half the spectrum) those frequencies will start to become available for LTE. Eventually all voice will move to LTE as well. |

So the only ones not covered are 700, not one cellular carrier uses 2600. If ATT buys tmobile Quad band phones meainng aws and cellular will be the new norm. -- They Live... We Sleep...
