| Qwest DSL in Minneapolis MN Hey, I'm about to switch to qwest 7mb/1mb service from comcast. I have a GT701 Modem but the sales rep says I need a new modem. I assume the VDSL2 won't work with ADSL2/2+ modem? |

| If they offered you a Q1000 or Q100 modem, then you will be on Vdsl2, & which your GT701 would not be compatible. |

The GT701 will not work with any speeds that is using vdsl2 as stated above. However, the gt701 will also NOT work with 20 mbit adsl2+. It will only SOMETIMES work with 12 mbit adsl2+ if it has the latest firmware and is not supported. It is supported and will work with 7 mbit and lower ads2+ and atm copper. |

| actually to post above. i had 20/1 ads2+ and my gt701R worked fine, full speeds.
as long as u have the latest firmware for the modem it will work. u will need to get your username and pass from qwest though.
vdsl2 you will need a different modem. |
