Is Mamutu usefull? How does it compare to PREVEX and TF?

So is MAMUTU usefull in today's threat landscape?
How does it compare to PRevex and ThreatFire?
Is it worth it for Windows 7 64bit?
Is it included in Online Armor?

How much resources does it use?

Would it be a worthwhile addition to the following system?
Windows 7 64bit
Nod32 v4
Threatfire
Outpost Pro

No, is useless!

I have a licence for 4 years and I dumped it for Malware Defender (pure HIPS).
Will not add any layer of defence to your pc, just a layer of confusion.

That's the way I advise, of course some settings depend on personal preferences.

Thanks!

Do you find it as a resource hog or any resource impact?

I don't notice any resource impact so I'm a happy customer. Anyway on my box it's running fine, can't guarantee it will do the same on your box.

Anyone knows of any tests that actually compares the effectiveness of Mamutu vs Prevex vs TF?
Or at least the effectiveness of MAMUTU against the today's threat space?

To me it's obvious you still don't understand the difference between a file scanner and a behavioural blocker.

I do not know ANY behaviour blocker which can resonably work in real world.

Do you?

I can paypal you $10 if you wish.

Edit:
I am not making fun, it's an honest to goodness request. If you have a lic that you won't use then I will be more then happy to take it off your hands.

Hi,

I am sorry to inform you that I decided to uninstall MAMUTU from my PC. I have a licence valid for 2 years , yet MAMUTU NEVER detected anything before my antivirus (AntiVir Pro).

Isn't there a law of physics prohibit 2 yrs passing in 7 months?
It's the one that prevents everything from happening all at once.

That's how I initially interpreted that too but looking into it, no way.
It must be a reference to how long they have had a license because if they were dumping it in Oct 2010 with 2 years left on the subscription they would have had to have added another 2 years since then which makes absolutely no sense.
Even as a reference to how long someone has used a product, discovering or claiming that something is worthless after 4 years of use makes little sense unless the person saying is remarkably slow to learn or normally doesn't pay much attention to their environment.

Yeah Actually I found a sweet 65% off coupon code on the web so I got the 3 year lic for $22.00

I will test it out that way. If it doesn't play well with my win7 64bit then I will just give it to my parents. I like paying for continual development of a decent product. After all $7.33/yr is the cheapest subscription I have paid for a product that most folks say works quite nicely as an addon to a layered security.

P.S.
Hell I have SuperAntispyware and Malwarebytes full subscriptions even thought I don't run them real time nor use any of the extra sub only features. I just like to give support where support is due.

Hi,

I noticed you have a tendency to be a smartass with most of my postings, so just to clarify the things:
I bought a 2 year licence for Mamutu; I was unhappy with it and I posted on their forum all bugs I found; for "valuable" contribution I was offered 2 additional years of licence, free.
I found Malware Defender much beter and I uninstalled Mamutu.

Period.
