I just wanted to give some feedback as to why I would want to switch from BHN tv to a competitor when I move. The reason for this is simple, I like to keep my stuff bundled, and I hope brighthouse can improve on this areas so I do not have to split services.

DVR Web Interface
One of the reasons web interfaces attract me is that using a mouse and keyboard to find and record shows will always be a thousand times easier than using a remote. The problem with Bright House's web interface is that it feels like the DVR. Not sure if that makes sense, so let me try to better explain it.

DVR navigation with a remote is slow and clunky feeling. I can zip past channels with a mouse wheel, I can navigate around with a click of the mouse. The web interface feels like it was developed on the same platform as the dvr boxes. The response feel slow, I have to wait for actions to complete to move on, etc.

Some small suggestions:
- Make it feel more like a website than a DVR. The layout and navigation shouldn't be designed for a remote, but for a web browser.
- When I perform an action like record series, don't make me wait. Just queue the action and let me know it has been saved. This will take away from the slow feel that you get with a dvr. I don't need to know when its done right away, I just want to know my request has been sent to the DVR.
- Better show search. Have a highlights page to show new releases, upcoming premiers, etc.
- Not sure if this has been done, but the ability to alter series settings such as new only, start/stop, etc.

I strongly suggest using Directv's online browser as an example of this done right. While I was with Directv, one of my favorite features was the ability to find all the shows I wanted to record quickly and easily over the web and not have to deal with a remote.

The DVR boxes
This one comes with two separate issues. first:

You need a 4 tuner DVR. I do not want two boxes to do the job, I just want to get a single DVR capable of recording 4 shows. I only use one tv, so having two boxes to do this would be just silly. Other providers are leading the way with this or have boxes in the works. I hope BHN is doing the same.

Second: Quality.
I do not know why this has become the norm with bright house, but having the swap DVR boxes on a regular basis is very frustrating. Let's face it, the Samsung DVR is junk. It fails to handle conflicts, instead of recording one it drops both. It locks up ALL of the time. It is generally a very bad piece of equipment. Being a Samsung fanboy (almost everything I own is made by Samsung), it hurts to say this: but that DVR needs to go.

When I got the cisco box, the thing worked great. I never once had a recording issue or lockup. Sadly, a lightning storm knocked the DVR out and I had to have it replaced. The service tech that came out only had the Samsung boxes, and without me saying anything, he apologized that he had to leave me with that one and suggested I call the local center to get it swapped out asap. It took about 2 weeks for the DVR to start showing issues. Thankfully, I am back with a cisco box now and have not had issues. But I should never have to deal with this in the first place.

tl:dr - Get rid of that Samsung DVR! You are going to lose costumers with that thing.

My dream request
Be the first in the industry to support wireless mouse and keyboards with your DVRs. Whether it be bluetooth or usb support, this would be a nerd's dream come true.

Those are my biggest concerns/issues/suggestions.

This may have been suggested already G-dawg. Allowing DVR content to be viewed AWAY from the home on a smartphone/laptop/tablet.

I would recommend adding some channels:

Yes Network (overflow feed)
I know Brighthouse has the some version of the channel but another provider Directv has some special agreement. The subscriber buys MLB extra innings plus sports pack and only then on Yes channel the actual games show on the channel. I think its called YES (with overflow).

Add the ability to block "out of area" or where caller id is not sent in call blocker.

A faster upload speed would be nice. I'd like to go from 10mbps to 30mbps.

I would recommend adding the channel: Boomerang from Cartoon Network to the Orlando area since Bright House is literally the only TV provider in the central FL area that doesn't offer the channel.

Bright House already carries Boomerang in other markets that they serve, so it shouldn't be too dificult for them to offer it in Orlando as well, right?

How about having an avenue of requesting new channels? I chatted online with support and asked for RT America, and they had no idea how to handle such a request

Please add an option to MINIMIZE WHEN STARTING. I don't like apps opening to my desktop when auto-starting. Everyone I have but this one that will sit on my SYSTRAY has this option or does it automatically. Some even have the option, like the sound icon of not being on the SYSTRAY.

#1 Please fix communications between the BH Business Internet and residential TV groups to communicate so that I can use the BH TV app on my tablet even though I am on BH Business Internet. Installing a separate wifi hotspot for the TV app alone is a wasteful and unacceptable solution for something that should already work.

#2 Please add NBC Sport Live Extra so I can watch this from my tablet/computer/phone.
