Coma's place is great for the after-party and sleeping it off.  Suburban/Outer Limits Land locations really will not draw enough people.

There was a German restaurant and beer garden just couple of miles from here, unfortunately it burned down last year. It is in the process of being rebuilt with a Grand Re-Opening scheduled this summer some time.

I have been on the Prom Committee countless times over the years and know how these things work. M&Gs are wide-open with the purpose of getting as many people from far and wide to come by and say howdy. If a group gels, "moveable feasts" can then happen at various places around the region...those may attract newcomers who happen to be near the venue or up for an excursion; however, they are mainly for the core group and won't work as a draw in and of themselves.
The way the NCR is configured and how we're all flung-out across it, downtown DC, Rosslyn, Ballston or Old Town Alexandria are the most logical places for M&G events. Next in line would be downtown Baltimore or Annapolis. Rockville after that. Once you leave the footprint of the subway, it becomes a schlep that most folks won't want to do.
