Bye Reseller

@myfairpoint.net

Did FairPoint get rid of Linesharing with wholesale partners

I've notice that now all of the independent ISP's that used Fairpoint for their DSLAMS are no longer using them, I.E. GWI, Galaxy Internet, and now MV Comm who is going out of business. I hope not due to this but is this true? If so it's a shame.

I've never used one of the Verizon/FairPoint resellers so I don't know the details. Given the complexity of DSL one has to wonder about the business viability of adding a third player into the mix.

Line sharing still exists. Companies like G4 colocate DSLAMs in the CO's and rent local loops (Unbundled Network Elements) from FairPoint.
