why is my ppp down

I have tried to go to 192.168.1.1 and reset and reconfigured my modem and the dsl light is not blinking the internet light is off and on the westell site it says ppp down i hit connect an it just says connecting the goes bak to down

You should contact your ISP. If your dsl light is off that normally means your connection is down.
